How to Manage Inflammation with Essential Oils

Inflammation..

What is inflammation?

The basic definition of inflammation is a condition in which part or parts of the body become red, swollen, hot, and/or painful. This does not mean that it has to have all the characteristics listed, it could have one, or more than one but swollen and painful are the two most common.

What causes inflammation?

Usually but not always inflammation is caused by a reaction to an injury or infection. In many cases though, that is not always the reason. Many auto-immune disorders can cause the immune system to attack healthy areas within the body causing those areas to become inflamed.

As I have mentioned in a another post (here) I suffer from chronic pain and muscle spasms. Along with those both come, inflammation. At any given time or for any given reason I start suffering with inflammation. I am currently under the care of doctors whom are leaning towards a fibromyalgia diagnosis.
