Essential Oils While Traveling

North or South, East or West, where ever you go and how ever you get there Essential Oils while Traveling are a must. Whether it be to clean and disinfect, or a way to help you overcome homesickness there is an Essential Oil for everything. Come see the ways that I used Essential Oils while Traveling during my most recent 4 day Road trip from South Florida to Reno, Nevada

Toilets

No matter how clean a toilet looks doesn’t mean its clean and disinfected. While traveling you will come in contact with a toilet, to make sure the toilet is clean try one or more of these Essential Oils:

Essential Oils while traveling

5 drops of Tea Tree

3 drops of Orange

2 drops of Lemongrass

2 drops of Oregano

1 drop of Thyme

Remember you can purchase any of these oils through my affiliate link with Spark Naturals and get 15 % off your first purchase using coupon code “share15”

1 1/2 ounce of distilled water

1/2 ounce of isopropyl alcohol

Glass spray bottle

Shake and spray the toilet down in its entirety

Air dry

Once dry go ahead and do your duty! (See what I did there)

Beds

Whether you stay in, hotels, motels, hostels, bnbs, you will come into contact with a bed. Everyone has to sleep!

To make sure the bed and linens are disinfected and fresh try this blend:

25 drops of Lavender

20 drops of Lemon

10 drops of Peppermint

7 drops of Cypress

1/2 TBSP vodka or isopropyl alcohol

4 ounces distilled water

Mix in a glass spray bottle and thoroughly spray the sheets, blankets, pillows, and even the curtains. Allow to air dry.

Points of contact

Normally people do not pay attention to points of contact. Points of contact are light switches, telephones, lamp switches, ac thermostat, door handles, basically anything that gets touched. You dont know who was in the room before you and or what they had or have. So you’ll want to make sure and wipe down these areas so they are clean and sanitized.

You can use the same mixture you used for the toilets or you can make your own disinfecting wipes:

20 drops of Tea Tree Oil

1/4 cup Vodka or isoproply alcohol

3/4 cup distilled water

Add to a container and shake to allow the tea tree oil to mix equally throughout the water

Add paper towels or rags and allow to soak up the liquid

Squeeze out excess liquid and wipe down all points of contact

Shower/Bath

Along with toilets, the shower/tubs can also be a germ infested bacteria breeding ground. Before using shower/tub you should always spray it down to disinfect.

6 drops of Tea Tree

6 drops of Oregano

4 drops of  Thyme

Remember you can purchase any of these oils through my affiliate link with Spark Naturals and get 15 % off your first purchase using coupon code “share15”

4 drops of Rosemary

1/4 cup Vodka or isoproply alcohol

3/4 cup distilled water

Add to a glass spray bottle

Spray shower/tub thoroughly

Don’t forget the points of contact, shower curtain or shower door

Wait a couple of minutes and spray down shower with hot water

Things to remember!

No matter how clean it looks, you will never know how clean it is until you clean it yourself!
